Teaching

As a scholar and as a creative and performing musician in academia, I teach various aspects of music. At Wesleyan University I have taught a second semester music theory course, and designed and taught an introduction to East Asian music. I have been especially active teaching gamelan in both formal and informal situations, including a credit-course at University of Wisconsin–Madison. I am currently (as of spring 2006) directing the gamelan ensemble at Smith College, Northampton MA.
